CIAMC On Air as the newest agri-segment of CIAMC TV, aired its 3rd episode on January 4, 2022. This special episode highlights the celebration of the National Zero Waste Month.

Agricultural waste is one of the most improperly disposed wastes in the Philippines. Some of the local farmers havenโ€™t yet discovered that crop waste could actually be still beneficial by converting it into animal feeds.

For the 3rd time in a row, Engr. Nhesreen M. Raza of CIAMC was invited to talk through the best practices of efficiently managing farm waste, specifically crop waste such as corn stalks, corn on cobs and rice straws. She detailedly discussed the steps of TMR Formulation, enumerated the raw materials needed and gave advice on how to properly store the said mixture.

He firmly supposes that this project would solve the countryโ€™s concern in attaining food security.

Aside from being a manufacturer and assembler of practical farm implements, CIAMC firmly upholds its own principle of protecting and promoting sustainable agriculture. The company is also dedicated to promoting technologies that could help Filipino farmers escalate their farm productivity.

The Central Isabela Agri Manufacturing Corporation in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office - Cordillera Administrative Region upskills farmers of Mt. Province and Ifugao on Silage Making and Total Mixed Ration (TMR) formulation through successive trainings held on September 29 and October 20, 2022. These trainings were conducted as part of the โ€œ๐˜พ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ฃ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™‡๐™ž๐™ซ๐™š๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™˜๐™  ๐™„๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™œ๐™ง๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐™‹๐™ง๐™ค๐™œ๐™ง๐™–๐™ขโ€ in Paracelis, Mt. Province and Aguinaldo, Ifugao โ€“ that aims to help corn farmers generate additional income and to help livestock raisers on the shortage of feed. With the insufficient supply of feed sources especially for ruminants, itโ€™s important to seek alternatives to sustain the demand of our farming business.

Engr. Raza comprehensively discussed the benefits and proficiently showed the process of corn silage production through hands-on training using the CIAMCโ€™s locally fabricated multi-purpose chopper. Engr. Raza also encouraged the participants and the corn farmers of Cordillera region to process their farm waste, specifically their corn stalks, corn cobs, and rice straw into quality feeds for their ruminants to address the shortage of cara beef and fresh milk in the region and in the country as a whole.

This momentous event was attended by the DA Undersecretary for Policy, Planning and Regulations Mercedita A. Sombilla and various local fabricators/manufacturers, LGUs, DA staff and farmers around Region 2.

Local fabricators/manufacturers were given an equal time to present their respective locally fabricated/manufactured/assembled products. The President of Central Isabela Agri manufacturing corporation, ๐— ๐—ฟ. Eugene Gabriel minutely introduced the companyโ€™s advocacy of empowering and promoting local talents around the province who assembles/fabricates/manufactures farm machineries for land preparation down to postharvest. Mr. Gabriel also reiterated that while big cooperatives are advancing to become more competitive, there is also a need to establish village type dryers, rice mills and feed mills - that are all engine driven to provide easy access for all the farmers from the rural areas. With the existing in-operational simple village type model in Baluarte, Santiago City, the project is no less than impressive and promising. He also emphasized the companyโ€™s continuous effort of innovating technologies that could help both large and small-scale farmers reducing the cost of crop production.

With the success of the event, local fabricators/manufacturers assume a stronger support from the Government, and a united advocates of local talents.
